The Middle East, more specifically Israel, is no stranger to conflict. However, this round of battles is different purely based on the situations surrounding it.
Your Assignment:
1.)Research the history of this conflict and summarized your findings.
2.)State the groups involved and then compare and contrast the differences of each group and what they stand for.
3.)How is this going to effect the United States?

The Israelites have always been fighting over the Gaza Strip and probably will never quit. Isreal at first always fought the Palestinians, but now they are fighting Humas. It makes the U.S. more suseptable to war in the middle east, because arguments will erupt.
isreal has been in many conflicts and fighting other people for many years.
isreal has fought with the Palestine for a long time but people beleive that they will soon have a peace agreement.
i think the states should stay out if it and i dont think we really will be affected isreal has alway ben going to war.
It sounds like the Israel have fought for a very long time. The Palestinians where the first they fought but now they are fighting Humas. It might make the U.S go over there and fight but that would be dumb.
The history of this conflict is an on going dispute between Israel and the Palestinians. It forms part of the wider Arab–Israeli conflict. Many attempts have been made to broker a two-state solution, which would entail the creation of an independent Palestinian state alongside Israel. A handful of academics advocate a one-state solution, whereby all of Israel, the Gaza Strip, and West Bank would become a bi-national state with equal rights for all. However, there are significant areas of disagreement over the shape of any final agreement and also regarding the level of credibility each side sees in the other in upholding basic commitments.
There are various large and international actors involved in the conflict. The direct negotiating parties are the Israeli government, currently led by Ehud Olmert, and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), currently headed by Mahmoud Abbas. The official negotiations are mediated by an international contingent known as the Quartet on the Middle East (the Quartet) represented by a special envoy that consists of the United States, Russia, the European Union, and the United Nations. The Arab League is another important actor, which has proposed an alternative peace plan. Egypt, a founding member of the Arab League, has historically been a key participant.
Iaraelite have been involved.Palestinians. The United States will meant have to go to war with them.
The people from Isreal and Palestine have been fighting for many many years ansd is probably never going to end. Now Isreal has focused their anger on Humas. They just have diffrent ways of life I guess... I think that the U.S. will be idiots like usual and I think that they have to get into other people's business. Therefore we will end up in another war.
Isreal has been in conflict since the beginning of time. It is due to religion. The muslims want gaza, and the isrealees want to keep it. The isrealites and the palestines.
Isreal is our ally. If conflict mounts, we will become involved.
Isreal has been involved with the palistinians forever. If it gets to out of hand the U.S. might have to enter the war if it gets out of hand.
israelies and panlistinians have been fighting for a long time, and its not going to stop anytime soon. the israelies and palistinians. i think that the u.s. should stay out of this, but eventually conflict will be inevitable.
The conflict is between Israel and the Palestinians, so an Arab-Israeli conflict. Some people are for a one-state solution, whereby all of Israel, the Gaza Strip, and West Bank would become a bi-national state with equa rights for all. But there are still basic conflicts over the shape of the final agreement. The U.S. is involved, because they are one of the Quartet on the Middle East (United States, Russia, the European Union and the United Nations) who involved in that conflict, because they have troops over there and all have interests, because of their religion or different reasons, and care about the outcome of this conflict.
Palistan wants their independence for Israel. they want their own state from them.
it is between the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), and the Israeli government. Palistan wants wants freedom, and Israel & the US are considering the leader of PLO, Mahmoud Abbas, a terrorist.
this will effect the US because we have just added another to what we call "the terrorist group". also it will drive up gas prices for us.
the isrealis have been and will keep fighting for the gaza strip and so that involves the isrealis and what all the other countries trying to take it over well since we help isreal then thats why the middle east jack up the fuel prices
This conflict between these two countries is still fueled by Religious beliefs. Its been since after WW2. After the war Israel was given land called the Gaza Strip. And since then Palestenians believe they must sieze the Gaza Strip for Religious Reasons. And now Humas who is a terristic threat is being fought by Israel.
I think we'll be affected by gas prices and possibly drug into the fight for which to me has no reason for our soldiers to go there.
1. The Iraelites have always been fighting and always will fight over it to keep theres.
2. The Israelites and palestinians. These two have always fought over the Gaza Strip.
3. If tension rises between these two then i think the U.S. will get involved even though i think we shouldn't.
Israel...they pretty much fight everyone because they are very angry people. Right now, they are in a war with Palistan. The war started because Israel was getting all up in the Palistani people's business and wouldn't leave them alone, they didn't feel very free. Also, Israel is taking Palistan's land and converting it into their own.
The groups involved are Israel, and Palistan.
I think this will affect the United States in the way that we are going to have to be "heroic" and save the day. We're going to have to jump into the conflict burrito and take us a bite. Then we will be in another war we can't afford, and it will last for 10 years and Obama will be just as bad as Bush! jk jk...but really, it could happen. =D
Israelites have always been fighting over the Gaza Strip. Isreal at first always fought the Palestinians, but now they are fighting Humas. It makes the U.S. more suseptable to war in the middle east, because arguments will erupt.
The Israelys and other ethnic groups have been fighting for a long time over the holy land. When they started to bomb each other the US started to get into their war.
The holy wars have been going on since the beginning of religion. Which really does surprise me because all of the religions involved teach peace and understanding. The ill-conceived Crusades started it all off. They are unlikely to stop due to ignorance and arrogance! Americans need to stop supporting one side of the other and out right demand a permanent cease fire. Arab regimes Lebanese forces, jihadi groups of the al-Qaeda type: Fatah al-Islam and Jund al-Sham. Then there are the Jews and the Christian forces of America and the varied religions of the forces of the United Nations. Our gas prices will go up and our troops will continue to fight at least until Obama officially takes office.
